The K&N RU-2780 filters fit just fine under the bearclaw. But as posted above, the one for cylinder three (rearmost) needs to be clocked at an angle to fit.

I ran that setup under my bearclaw for several months prior to growing a pair and cutting the claw, the RU-2780's fit under there just fine.

Do you still use the same size filter after you cut the claw or did you get taller filters?

Yes they are still the 2780's ... just all facing the same direction with K&N Pre-filters covering them

Thanks mutt ... after looking at the way HellFire cut his bear claw I might break down and purchase the filters.
I promised myself however that I wasnt going to add anything to this brand new bike like I did my last bike.... it's not working out at all!
