Hi guys. This is my second thread that I have started. I am pretty much set on a new r3t for next season. I am hoping to get a fair price when I sell my Nomad. My question is about the bikes that I see listed on eBay. Are these legit? I see a 2015 r3t black and red listed as used with only 25 miles on it for just under $12000. It's at some big dealer in Texas. I'm up in Massachusetts, and even if I paid to ship it, it's still a great price.
Should I give these types of listings serious attention, or is it too risky?
Would a local dealer be willing to do a breakin check up and also warranty work?
I'm just surprised at how low some of these eBay listings are priced at.
Thanks for any comments, Eric

I would call the dealer I bought my bike off eBay in 2010 new it was a leftover 09 for around that price any dealer should do warranty work maybe someone in Texas knows about the dealer

As long as you do your due diligence, and see if it's a reputable dealer it should be trouble free. Dealer ads on Ebay often will be repeated in other media, such as other websites, and newspaper classifieds. Personal ads are sometimes harder to vet. But it's helpful if you can see the bike or parts in person before bidding. If you have a Triumph dealer within any reasonable reach, you might have them keep an eye out for the model and price range you seek. With a little up front cash, you'd be surprised what they might drag in. For my part I just kept my eyes open on my dealer's inventory for when the bike I wanted and the price I could pay coincided. In fact my dealer will put a bike onto a truck and deliver to a distant customer if that's what it takes. You could check them out...no I am not being paid. Frontline Eurosports

I bought one of those a couple of weeks ago from my almost local Triumph dealer. I paid a bit more then the $11K I have seen but it is still a great deal. Triumph had some left over 2015 Touring models they wanted to move, so a stupidly low price was set and dealers notified. Full 2 year warranty and all good to go. My R3T had 9 miles on it and was sold as new. I have seen some with 20-40 miles listed and sold as used. I suspect those were bought from a dealer by a non Triumph dealer, hence a used status. Check your local dealers, phone calls are cheap, maybe one is closer then Texas. But yes, a legit offering. This is mine.
