I have been interested in getting one of these new Tire Pressure Monitors.

TIREGARD™ TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM - 2-WHEEL from Big Bike Parts

I saw a brief article about them in Rider a couple of months ago, but haven't been able to find anyone who has used one. Seems like a terrific idea, especially as it would also monitor your hot tire pressures during long rides.

Anyone ever use one? Does it present problems with wheel/tire balance? Is it reliable?

Any experience will be welcomed.

Thanks.

No experience, but that does look pretty neat. I like the fact that it displays the exact tire pressure and doesn't just turn on a light. $200 is pricey, but if I was hauling a trailer I'd probably bite the bullet and get one. Knowing the condition of the trailer tires would be a huge safety advantage.

I've got oversize valve stem caps on my bike now and don't have a balance problem. Heck, you can always have the tires balanced with them on ... if it's going on a Roc then you won't have to wait long before the next set of tires anyway. lol

Unless you're running on the darkside.
It looks like I might get two full years of riding out of one rear tire.
I'm liking that.
Instant tire pressure?
That'd be handy I guess, but just something else I don't need.
