Do you ever get "the itch"?!

I've never had the itch to trade Fiona, my R3T; but I was looking at trading my HD V-Rod (Delilah) for the new R3R a couple months back. In the end though, Delilah was a gift from (and named by) my wife and she's a rare beast and no longer made... just the type of bike I enjoying riding. Also, friends and family who visit rider her... something that would happen much less often if I had a new Rocket. I suspect a 2022 Rocket will find it's way into our stable as a new edition...

There is no way i will ever let this go IMG_0920.JPG By far the best bike i have ever owned. No gizmo's or toys to play with while riding down the road. No bragging rights on being the latest and greatest. No bragging rights on being a member of the 200 club. Only makes about 168 horse on a real dyno tune. It does ride better now then when new (66,000 miles) Rider may require 1800 mg of gabapentin per day to ride but life goes on.

No it is used to kill nerves. It is used in cases of shingles. Used in extreme cases of Nerve Pain. High doses can cause very aggressive behavior and adding alcohol makes it much worse. Your good if your dose is under 300Mg a day.:roll::roll::roll: The docs started me out on 300 mg a day. Did not work. Then they jumped me up to 900 Mg a day. That worked for a bit. Now up to 1800 mg a day. Keeps me upright and able to ride back and forth to work. Pain is still present but next week get to see a nerve specialist. At times both legs go completely dead and fall down. Pain is almost unbearable at times. Never ends.

I've had a grand total of 9 (two of which I still own) road bikes. I'm not big on change. I'm not an impulsive buyer and do my research. When I finally pry my wallet open I usually end up with something that works for me. I was thrilled when Triumph redesigned the R3. I would be interested if they were to offer it in a more standard or touring format. I'll probably end up with the one I have until I can't ride anymore. The only reason I would replace it, is some parts are getting scarce, and there are basically no accessories made for the older ones anymore.
