To Snuff, yeh we have the black ones and when I was younger and flying charter in remote areas, that white spot between the eyes did get much bigger, but not big enough.

Also met a few darkside girls from the US and they were spectacular. Kinda like the coffee coloured ones, if we were to have a choice of course.

At my stage of life, the best we can do is go into auto dribble, its kinda embarrasing but thats life.

Keep it cool out there, well at your end of the world, I hear that your having a little cold snap at the moment.

225/50/ZR16-F1.... I had to cut off the metz but the goodyear tire shop mounted it. I didn't balance it a first but added balancing beads later. I'm so happy with the miles...

I'm running DynaBeads in the Cooper 225. I just received a Dunlop Elite,for the front, and have the beads ready for it as well. My last front went to 13k before it was ready for a change.

My anniversary date with the FBG had 22k in 24 months,this month. the only beef I really have is with batteries. I've an Odessy PC625 coming. It it don't live up to the tasks I'll howler!

so whats a good reccomendation if I want to use a darkside tire for dragstrip applications..?

I have bikes for long distance and other mayhem...want to use the rocket for urban assaults and drag strip...

Tire rack has several competition tire that would work. Not all of them are street legal. But that won't matter on the strip.

Man this sounds so good, can you guys do that over there, I'm in, no probs, I got a .44 magnum Ruger six shooter, a .357 Magnum Dan Wesson, Beretta 9mm semi auto, Tanfoglio 9mm semi auto, and 2 x .22 ten shot semis and a stack of lever actions. Will this be enough. Ok You guys can have semi auto rifles, machine guns and all other nice toys, so if you R3 guys have em, let me know what ya got.

Down Under we call it "spotlighting".

As for the Rocket thing, why would you want to put it through the torture you are planning. Would be fun to watch, make sure you get videos of that

I've got 19,500 miles on the Goodyear now. I'll change it out this winter it almost down to the wear bars.

My read on the F1 is a 280 tread wear figure? The same as my Cooper. I expect you ride harder than I so I may squeeze twice the mileage out of the Cooper

I run the 245/50/16 rear at 48. The front at 36 and that works well. As the price of gas goes up I might try 50 and 38! Who is going to be the first to try a car tire on the front of the rocket?

IMHO, the 245 needs MAX pressures to deter rubbing. This higher pressures will make for a harder ride; and will approach manufacturer's max recommended at max tire temperatures generated. The 225 and 205 are not having the issue of rubbings with much more comfortable and safer pressures. I run my 225, these daze, with 45psi. I must say, the "rounder profile" latitudinally, of the Cooper has a remarkable cornering and sweeper grip. The center line rib of the 2XS is not, anymore, an issue. I've grown accustomed to it and my Pop Eye like fore arms handle the negative steering easily. Although on long poorly maintained crowned center lane roads do give a sense of prolonged cross wind conditions. It's not for everyone but the dark side has many benefits. I'd bet,your next paycheck, that I put more mileage on my FBG in one year than most get in 5 or 6. That in itself is worth thinking about!
A much increased ground patch puts the beef in the Beast, to the pavement!
