Corbin seat problem

Good afternoon everybody
I am sure somebody has flagged that issue before, but right now I can not find it anywhere.
So I tried to install my new Corbin seat to RE GT but it does NOT catch.
If I remember well somebody suggested to ad a washer but how?
How can I undo the "prong" "rod" "latch" whatever you call it? For clarification see the picture to get what I'm talking about ;-)

So please help.

That connection already appears to have a lock washer on it, which leads me to believe that it is threaded. If it were me, I would try to unscrew it with pliers or vice grips or something similar without using too much force. If is screwed in, it is not likely tightened too much. Just a thought.

Tried already but to be honest I was not too forceful. So maybe should try harder.

I hope that you get some help from them. I have owned many Corbin seats and only needed service one time. It did not go well. Hope it works better for you.
