COOLANT OVERFLOW TANK-------------AGAIN

@cr0ft a few guys have put the bottles under the seat or tank or behind the side panel out of the the line of sight. Doing it that way, you can stay plastic or switch if you like. The stock kidney bottle isn't very accommodating to sitting in very may places.

That's a good point. I suppose if, for instance, I were to yank out all the air plumbing and go with a third-party air filter there would be plenty of space under the tank. Something to consider there.

I'm thinking this will be the best option, after all---- gonna dwell on it a bit longer--THANKS ALL fer responding
No doubt I'll be hopin' ter 'pick yer brains', at a later date;) when I get ta doing it..:whitstling:--

i was just thinking that if i wanted one i would take one of those small personal fire extinguishers and modify it (drill and tape the bottom and have a plug welded in the top that i can drill and tap for and over flow) and either polish the alu. or paint it to match the bike.

Now that's more like what I was envisioning, a nice small chromed vertical tank that looks good and isn't hugely in your face. I wonder if they sell them separately (or sell them at all). I think I'll fire off an email and ask about that and the slip-ons for the R3T.

Sharp looking can!! I wonder what the top mounts to? And if it fits behind the claw. Looks like the bottom bolts to the block mount (crash bar mount).

Meh. I sent an email to Raask and got a one-sentence reply that the can comes with the full kit of velocity stacks only, so you can get it but you need to get the whole set. And the slipons were all gone (on second thought I recall a member here saying so earlier already in another thread, just slipped my mind.)

The kit looks great--- but I dunno ????????? any thoughts , cuzzins..?

I received this e-mail last night------------

They look like great velocity stacks, but personally I a) like having the claw there and b) prefer more fine-grained air filtration on a daily driver than some chicken wire.

I don't really understand why you'd want to make a feature of a radiator overflow catch can - and spend a couple of hundred bucks on it.
