Its on a 2004, I'm trying to avoid any chrome really, I'm thinking black and totally away from the standard look, I may have to come up with a design1st versions or latest model?

Yep, I have both New Old Stock chrome oil tanks (A9733603) and side covers in the storage.
I think there were two versions, the very early 2004-2005 and later 2008 update had the different sized oil pipes Triumph accessory Chrome oil tanks
OIL TANK - CHROME (A9730136 for later models with VIN after 289583); and
A9733603 (ONLY fits EARLY models WITH VIN LAST 6 DIGITS UP TO 280583).

I have a couple of used later version black ones T1210259 if you want one cheap to play with (Au$100 + post for you, Au$642.00 from Aussie dealers is outrageous! ), and an NOS VERY early Chrome one A9733603.
Pretty sure they changed during 2005 and only very early 2004 -2005 models came with the different sized oil pipe outlets.

They even had a Raw steel version A9750014.
