Cold Starts in Cold Weather

I have the older Rocket, but that sounds like a good theory. I've heard that waiting to hit the starter for 10 seconds or so will result in an easier start from the battery (counter intuitive, I know-pushing lights, etc). I think someone mentioned that in an earlier post here. Sounds like you may have been rushing it.
I told you earlier Maurice,
In any case,
1) starter up
2) starter down to hear the pump for a few seconds and see dashboard
3) starter down to launch the engine

When temperature is colder increase step 2 duration before 3.

Actually, you told me earlier to 1. Turn on to hear the pump for a few seconds, 2. Hit starter.
Just reread. Thanks.
