Bike not back from France yet, I know some of you have replaced the clutch & im considering it while doing the Detent spring. At what mileage have most of you needed to do it? I'm on 34000 miles but at the moment no sign of slipping but don't want to miss the opportunity.

I've got 41500mls on my bike ,done the Detent Spring when it broke, but not had any problems with Clutch slippage. My mate's bike has 81000mls on the clock and clutch still good and he rides like a loon.

You should be okay, but check the clutch lifting mechanism for wear as well while you are in there. I highly recommend doing @warp9.9's external spring modification. It will make life MUCH easier when you are putting it back together. If you are going to replace the clutch plates then I would suggest looking at MTC fibres.
