You might apply some PJ cable lubricant before installing. Cheap enough, helps cable slide much better.

easy enough job but since your is a 04 I would first check and see if there is a location punch mark on the lifter shaft and the lifter shaft crank arm as you want to return the arm to the same location. I remember seeing the crank arm on the first 04 that hit Canada and it was a wee bit different then my 06. I never looked at the manual to do mine so before I comment more I will have a looksee first.
