I have search with the advanced research a topic about failure caused by clutch contactor and fond nothing so
I alloawed myself to post this one . Mister Administrator if such a topic exists , feel free to suppress mine !

FAILURE DESCRIPTION :
You had put back in place the strand , had turned the general contact key , seized the clutch , the needles
had played their little dance and now you push the starter button and ....... nothing , nada !
The starter does not operate .
A very probable failure can come from the clutch contactor so let see how to repair

Hey Paul I am not sur ebut I think he is refering to the clutch safety switch on the clutch lever. Not sure as his english might be a little ruff.

MOST failures are due to overheating & solder joint failure from the ignition switch ( as IDK posted) follow the cleaning proceedures for the safety switches, if no joy, check that ignition switch. DO THE HEADLIGHT RELAY MOD!!! do this anyway even if you havn't ( yet) had a failure... those ignition wires run red hot otherwise:pullhairout:

mine is the same.
Gets to be a real PITA.
I never noticed what the cause was till the other day.
it's been doing it for a couple of months now.
It's always a crap shoot when it'll start.
It always does, but I noticed the other day,
after repeatedly pressing the button for a couple of minutes,
My hand let off the clutch lever a "little bit" and she cranked right up.
Killed it and tried it again.
She started right up.
Seems if you let the clutch out just a hair, it'll kick right over.
Clutch pulled in all the way and no joy.
Where's this switch and how do ya get to it to clean it?
Thanks guys,
THAT'S WHY I like this forum so much.
ya'll ride safe.
skip

just spray the inside of the handle Ruz?
I use graphite for the cable lube,
I just thought there might be a contact switch somewhere
besides the little "pin" in the housing.
