*CLICK* Rocket III shut off and coasted to a stop ???

Crank angle sensor check is easy, one screw holds it in. Just be careful putting it back in.

My money is on the ignition wires, it can be a loose wire in the switch its self or in my case it was a burnt out wire in the large connector block under the tank. Thats the one with the seven wires in it. Check that for signs of overheating. sorry I can't remember what colour the wire was.

Do you have the alarm system installed? Someone else experience problems that sound similar to you where the alarm system shut the bike down because it thought it was being stolen.

Ok, here's a completely different thought, (and I sincerely hope it is not this).
My '05 was running splendidly, I was rounding a nice downhill sweeper and click the bike just shut off. it would turn over but no spark. Turns out it was the lower cam gear and the motor was instantly turned to junk because valves and pistons will hit. remove the lower cam inspection plate and see what you can see.......

That was one of my thought or a broken guide on the tensioner side as mine did that right in the middle of the guide :(
