I placed an order for a stock 16" windshield w/upper recurve for my R3T from Clearview. I received a phone call from Mark @ Clearview telling me they were out of the clear material to make my windshield and would not have it in stock until sometime next week which would put a delay on my order. Mark's solution was to offer me the windshield in light grey tint, which they had in stock, with no up charge - I was very pleased with this offer as that was what I preferred when I was placing the order but the extra cost was not in my budget. This is right on par with what I have heard about this company and is just one of the reasons why I chose them above some of the other companies that make after-market windshields. Once I receive the new shield and have it mounted I will pass on my personal review. Clearview Shields - for the best ride you'll ever see

Coincidentally I just transferred my clear view after a month wait. I consider myself very mechanical and this took me over two hours to do this project. I don't know what the deal was but I had to drill and ream out two holes and was becoming very impatient. In the end the shield seams very well made and should hold up very well. I just would not think modifications would have been in order. Good luck on your decision.

i had to wait about 6 weeks for my Clearview, they kept me informed the whole time, and I have to say I'm so pleased I stuck it out :) Great quality and the recurve makes all the difference. Fitted straight onto stock hardware with no mods at all :p

I all so bought one and love it took 4 weeks but it was worth it must of been something up to have to mod it mine fit just right the recurve helps in my opion at speeds over what we need to run might be me but seems to make the front end more stable

OK - so far ....... not so good. :( Received the shield today and the holes are off by 1/4" on the right side as looking at it from the back - that is based on lining the long narrow chrome piece that goes on the back of the shield and dropping in bolts. Trying to get through to Mark @ Clearview now ----- waiting on a return phone call. Will update the final resolution as soon as I know something.

Situation has been resolved ----- returning shield for a refund. I have read enough reviews about Clearview to know that this is not a common issue and I would not discourage anyone from placing an order with them. Mark was very helpful but in the end I felt this was the best option for me. That being said I would NOT be comfortable making a future purchase from them. So, at this time I am still looking for a new shield and will continue to shop until I find another company to build one for me.

Hate to reiterate but mine does not look straight on the bike either. The radius of the curves does not even look the same. I wonder if there jig moved or something. Now that I modified it to fit by getting impatient I'm screwed. I needed it for a long ride as I am 6'3" and couldn't deal with the stock one. :(

Do you have the shorter stock screen or the taller model, like this one?

Triumph Rocket III Touring Quick Release Roadster Screen - British Customs

At 6'2" I had to take a couple of inches off the tall screen to be able to see over it. Can't stand looking through a bug splattered screen.
