Just by coincidence I'd love Rocky It's only about a nine hour ride south and I have family and outlaws there.

Hey Canberra what Tomcat is saying is very true for starters you need to plan it 12 months in advance so people can organise leave, there will be those that say yes now and then last minute change thier mind and there will be those that decide to go last minute.
First you need to set a date then poll to find a location or state it to be held but most importantly remember you don't have to do it by your self if nessary put forward the idea of someone suggesting thier local location then have a few help that person organise the details

Im thinking .... SUMMERTIME.. This is the first winter for 5 years for us and we are freezing our arses off. Rode home from the Brissy Blues Festival at 1.30am Sunday...was minus 6.3 ( we used to 33 and humid) SUMMER

Um, did you read my first post??? Just feeling out interest, time of year - I was thinking Spring or Autumn but TC wants rescuing from the cold so summer an option too. I was hoping for a splattering of interest so that when we go for somewhere central like, oh I dunno, Tamworth, we won't get cries of no fair. Would love someone to put their hand up to organise - we need a Scowherd down here who I understand ran RAA like a real pro. We certainly want to learn from what the Yanks did - also mentioned that in my first post.

We're a long way off picking a location or even a date but I'd really like to know if we can get enough interest in the idea to make it worthwhile. Also need to get a feel for what other events we want to avoid clashing with; all that stuff.

Richard ! settle pettle I was merely agreeing with Tomcat on your post (#8) you sounded a bit anxious and as long as it doesn't clash with SBK and MottoGP I will be interested as for the weather .....Tomcat toughen up Canberra3 has to ride in those conditions 9 mths of the year after doing it for 20 yrs why do you think I left Canberra. As a suggestion We could kick of our first ROOZ we could go all the way across to West Aussie!!! now that would be an awesome way to kick of ROOZ

any time of year is reasonably good so long as we avoid the Cyclone season in QLD and the late summer floods in anywhere any time of year in other words late spring early summer is possibly the best tim of year say around November if you check the weather patterns its probally the most stabile, October tends to be windy and unpredictable
