Brand new Roadster didn't make it home

That might have left me with a bad taste in my mouth. At least it got fixed.

As solid as these bikes are it is always the transmission and it seems the factory has always had an issue with assembly?

I always thought the tranny was overkill anyway. All we need is start and go gears.:D

Just so glad you lived happily ever after.

Riding (especially with a loved one) with a flaked transmission was foolish. Stuff like that can and has LOCKED UP :eek:while underway. Inconvenient in a car/truck, can be deadly on a bike. Glad you, your wife and your checkbook came away unscathed.
That exact thing happened a couple years after the Yamaha roadstar hit the streets. Then, it was the biggest displacement bike. A couple granny's locked up because of cheap compromised washers and Yamaha had a massive recall.

One day a bike manufacturer will make a CV trans like Nissan.
