Brake light flasher

@R3TK I have replaced all the indicator lamps with LED equivalent - 1157 27 smd type - much brighter and also replaced the relay. Relay was ordered via ebay and was supplied quicker and cheaper from a seller in USA!! Lamps were from UK seller. Found all the connections to the indicators were reversed but a simple swap and sorted. Read light/brake lamp swapped to LED too. Check the position of the pins and the lamp length you require first or you end up with a nice supply of useless spares sitting on a shelf in the garage :whitstling::whitstling::banghead:

Thanks Grumpy - that’s the kind of thing I was wondering. I was wondering about the lamp length too.... have you changed the headlight to LED too? I’m not sure if I change the bulb or the whole unit to something nice and LEDy...

I changed the whole headlight, again for something from Malaysia via ebay - £60.00 for a pair of plug 'n' play. There are several threads on here regarding the OEM headlights and the swapping of lamps. Swap the lamps and you still have the useless OEM reflector and diffuser. I bought the cheap ones to try and they are very impressive - 100% more light!
