Brake light flasher

Sorry, Phil, but you are incorrect on this one.
The OEM tail - brake lights are at best average. The OEM headlights are criminal!
I investigate and reconstruct collisions for a living and everything possible to increase visibility from the rear and to the front is of paramount importance in my expert opinion. :D
I agree that LEDs are a big improvement to the OEM lights. The cheap flashing module I have put on my ride is working with LEDs. The mailing time from the Far East does stink, but not a big deal in January in Michigan.

@Chip Which LED bulbs are you using in your taillight?

I bought two different sets of those "LED" bulbs.
Both types were a dissappointment and not nearly as bright as a REAL LED.

Well, I disagree regarding the taillight and I never ride at night around here (waaaay too many deer), so I don't give much of a toss about the anemic headlights. I have been planning to install Kisan's pathBlazer and tailBlazer units for many years now, as I did on previous bikes, but just never get around to it. Maybe the 200 rw ponies in my motor have given me a false sense of security?

Have you ever compared taillights with a light meter?
The worst taillight I have seen so far is the Yamaha Roadliner/Stratoliner.
The Rocket is still below today's average OEM taillight in brightness.

@1olbull What taillight do you have?

I still have the OEM with one of those so-called "LED" bulbs.
Been trying to get Chris @barbagris to build up a LED array to fit in the OEM taillight . . . so far to no avail. :D
I do run Hyper-Lites (properly aimed) on either side that seriously improve rear end visibility.
If I ran panniers all the time, which I do not, I'd add a proper LED to the rear of each pannier.
I am always on the hunt for a bright auto LED taillight that I can make work . . .

@Chip Which LED bulbs are you using in your taillight?
The LED replacement bulb is listed as: 5050 27 SMD. I purchased it because it was purchased from a local seller. The light is much brighter than the OEM and the flash module lists LED bulb required.

I've used this on my two previous rides: 20W-D - tailBlazer

It's halogen bulb is definitely brighter than stock and no wiring!

Kisan makes several other versions of the tailblazer and I ran 3 0f their products on one of my VTX 1800s - all were of excellent quality and absolutely made me more visible, hence safer out there. ;)
