Both water pump hoses are nearly flat!?

At the risk of stating the obvious, you're aware there is a tiny set screw on the radiator cap ? I had to purchase a 5 mm wrench just for that - none of my sets had that size.

I always check my manual. Can't rely on my memory. It's been a long time since taking it off for a detent spring.

A 3/16" nut driver works too.

Huh????? To remove it? I must not have one, I'm going to have to look at that.

When you remove the tiny set screw drop kick it into the next century, not one of my Rockets still has that screw.

Have had the same hose collapse, symptom of failing radiator cap in my case not allowing coolant back into the system when the engine cooled off.

Looking at your photo, is that a hole in your water pump housing? May need to replace it too.
