Apes anyone?

Motorcyclists vs bikers. Form vs function. Do you want it to look cool, and possibly be comfortable when cruising Main St, then go for it. Do you want it to handle to its full potential, I'd advise against it. There is never going to be a consensus.

Personally I think they look foolish. But then I feel that anyone who rides a motorcycle to a bar (and consumes alcohol) is a fool.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong.
 
Just as well we all have our own opinion .having a beer or two when I go out for a ride has alway been and always will be a part of my ride and the only way I would change is if they out lawed it . There are rules and regulations for a reason , and if you stay with in those rules you should remain safe , if you go out side the rules there will be consequences , it works for me:bch
 

I really wasn't serious about the bars on the yellow bike! There have been apes on Triumphs ever since (although you get more apes on a Harley ) so how does putting apes on a Trumpet mean it's trying to look like a HD?
If there's one thing this thread proves it's that we're all human and that there's no such thing as a humble opinion
 
I have on occasion while on a ride with mates stopped for lunch at a Pub had a Schooner or a couple of middies but never have I ever or would I ever be any where near intoxicated when I get on the bike I have seen what happens to those that don't know the limits and as you said Pete stay with in the rules (alcohol limits) there is no harm, those that don't have some self control should not be drinking at all.

I ride, I drink, I had my first two wedding ceremonies on the 4th of July.
Married one of my oldest riding companions to his old lady, and his nephew to his fiance.
We polished off two quarts of shine before the ceremony and several beers afterwards.
We were gonna have breakfast, but figured,
the biscuits would diminish the effects of the alcohol, so why waste both.
skipped food and partied all day.
Good celebration too.
everybody had a good ride, and arrived safely back home.
It was a good day.
