what's up with Wayne of Tuneboy fame? I sent him a paypal (from his web site) for a new tune edit key for my R3T last Saturday and have not heard a word from him. I sent 3 emails over the last few days from his web site (contact us) and again.... no response. I will also say that I never received an email ackowledgement from his site even though my email addy given is exactly correct.

I am beginning to think I just may have tossed a couple hundred down the drain. I hope that is not the case. If he is away and cannot do business, I would think he would put a message up to that effect on his site.

Any you guys in OZ near Wayne? Is there a different way to contact Wayne? I would like to get the appropriate tune downloaded into my R3T since I upgraded to TORS and K&N.

I wouldn't know anything about Wayne or Tuneboy, but I've heard others complain about that exact same thing here on the site. So you aren't the first.

I like the TuneBoy, but I've NEVER received a reply back from their technical support or Wayne. Thankfully all support came from this forum.

That being said, I do think TuneBoy is still the way to go for the Rockets. I did the standard 3 K&N filters, D&D exhaust, and supplied 139hp tune from a member of this site. Runs great, but I'll eventually get a dyno tune as it seems a little rich, which is fine... better too rich than too lean!

Check your spam filter.

If I had a spam folder I would. I do not have that set up on my little Netbook. I am using Outlook Express (no junk folder). I am becoming a bit purturbed. It has been 5 days and nothing. I was one of the early tuneboy customers and have requesrted and received new keys in the past due to changing bikes. I would have hoped his business would have becomne a bit more formalized by now.

I should have asked in my ealier post..... Anyone know his alias on this site? Perhaps I could send him a pm.

Hi Bob,

Can't give you any detail but I just called Bikebiz in Sydney where Wayne does a lot of work and he was very much alive as of yesterday when he was doing a new map on the dyno for the Thunderbird. Unfortunately I couldn't speak to the service manager as he was in the middle of a dyno.

I don't think you've done your dough;). I also think that the "technical", "advertising", "promotions", "accounts", "administration", and "marketing" departments consist of one person....Wayne (and sometimes his wife). Even for us Aussies the after sales (and even during sales) support is sadly lacking due to this. I've been lucky in that he uses the same facility where he does most of his work. Every time I've requested a modified map it's been available within a few days. Bloody frustrating for others though.

I'll try to get a bit more detail when I can contact the service manager......no chance of getting Wayne in person

Appreciate any help you can lend to the situation Pete! Wayne has had my ""dough" for a week and I have nothing to show for it. As it tuns out, whreas I cannot use my tuneboy, I am having to pay a dealer tomorrow to download the tune for TORS. This kinda blows..... I definitely appreciate you stepping up to assist.

Thanks again Pete!

Don't waste your money loading the TORs tune. It will cost you power.

Wayne posts here under Tuneboy, if wife Tunegirl. They are not very good about responding. He used to frequent the site when Tuneboy was new to the Rocket. I used to be sympathetic that it was only him and his wife however, after not getting responses myself, then seeing group buys mulitple times per year where 100+ people drop $350+ US to buy the product, I don't feel as forgiving.

Don't get me wrong it is a great product, but you are pretty much on your own with it. It is not practical for the average joe to do a custom dyno tune only using Tuneboy.
