The weather in Michigan is beautiful this time of year. Sunday was a perfect day to ride to Lake Michigan. I must have rode about 10 miles from home and the clutch cable broke. Did I mention it was beautiful and a Sunday? My biker friends were off riding and having fun. Me, I'm waiting for my wife to bring me a vehicle.
Monday I tried to get a clutch cable. None in lower Michigan. The dealers say a week to ten days. Not good enough. Getting parts in a timely fashion is not possible with the Rocket. I can't understand the poor service with Triumph.

That stinks. Did you try looking at a non Triumph part? Lot of folks make cables.

Why not try Barnett, clutch cable $60.Probably faster than waiting for triumph an probably a better quality cable.

Yep!
Barnett is the way to go. It'll be much faster.
Ordered one from the dealership then bought one from Barnett on recommendation from the guys here. I intended to keep the OEM as a spare. Ended up cancelling the order after three weeks and no cable.

I always buy a spare clutch cable and throttle cable have had two in my shed since 2005 never needed them.

I found a local shop who makes up cables. Small shop but I'm told he does good work. My point that I was trying to make is how pathetic Triumph is in the United States. Every time I have needed a part it has to, " be shipped from England." I understand that Triumph isn't very interested in the market here in the U.S., but simple parts shouldn't require over a week. Oh yes 2nd day is an option. Only if a person is willing to spend more on shipping than the part needed.
And I do like the comments about keeping spare cables in the shed. I ask nine guys I ride with how many spare cables they kept.guess the number.... 0
