20352 map on a Rocket III??!!

I have not heard of anyone cutting open the cat to modify them. usually the add the cat delte pictures below.

As for whether you have TORS or not they should have a sticker on the bottom with a part number and marked not for highway use (or something like that). other then that like Hans said they have a 1.25" diameter hole in them verses the smaller one inch.

Oh and as was pointed out do not attempt to load any Roadster or R3 Touring tunes in the ECU as it will lock it up. the Touring 08 and up and the Roadster 2010 and up have different ECU's.

So I suppose this is a stock cat then wit out no modifications???

Right now I have a 20352 map in my 2005 R3 put there by an authorized Triumph workshop,

I identified the new map with TunECU after my visit to the workshop...

So that is why I'm online here and tries to figure out what happened...

Yes thats the stock cat box and as long as the bike is not from California it is basically hollow I have not looked at map list in quite a while so the map you might be for the ecu I will have to take a look see to see what it actually is. It sounds to me as if it does not have the timing restrictions removed.

Ok first I will admit I am not a tune ecu user I use tune boy so after looking at the maps let me state a few things that are strictly my opinion. When you look at the difference in tune boy maps for the roadster and touring you will see they have timing table for both F ueling table and Lamba tables not so in tuneecu. I cannot speak to what the triumph computer has. What I can say is knowing you have a 05 standard rocket I would not load a tune for the roadster in it. The ecu's are different. I suspect this is right because you cannot even compare the difference between the 20222 and the 20352 map using the map compare in tune ecu a window pops up telling you the two maps must be identical. This tells me they are two different software programs. I think perhaps the tech that loaded the map in is not very bright.
Now because I tried this my tune ecu software is locked up so I have to resart my computer to see if I can get the tune ecu to close down.

Ok after looking at both maps in tune ecu I see they are different maybe not drastically but different in fueling , timing and secondary throttle positions. That being said the first thing I would do is copy the map in the ecu and read it to see if it is actually a 20352 map from a roadster. Once you figure out what is actually in it we can go from there. I simply cannot believe the technician would even try to load a roadster tune into a standard rocket knowing they have different ECU's It would be like loading a touring tune into a standard.

Warp - as you say, you can't even compare 20352 and 20222 because they don't conform. Hard to see how 20352 could have been loaded into a 2005. He could upload the tune in the ECU to see what he's got but 20222 with the secondaries at 100% should work fine.

Yes But if the dealer told him thats what he put in it I would copy the tune to verify whether or not his dealer has one more operating brain cell then a dead cow. It could be he has one of the reduced power tunes for different countries. Either way he needs to confirm what the dealer put in it as it could be something else was set wrong like the ISCV reset or a simple wrong setting of the TPS. I cannot believe the triumph computer would alow them to try loading a tune for the wrong ecu in it without throwing up a warning. After he confirms whats in it and how good his dealer is then we can work on loading a proper tune and then a modified proper tune.
This is just my opinion!!!!

Tanks for the information, sounds like some serious tuning is badly needed...

This is the info page from TuneECU.

Also the hex file is uploaded if some one want's to look closely at the nice job they did at the workshop...
