Needed to replace the cooling fan relay of my 2007 Classic (T2506040). was sent T2507727 as "part interchanges with part T2506040' , which it doesn't? Am I missing something here, or just sent the wrong part? Thank you in advance.

Well a 4 or 5 pin 12v relay from the local auto parts shop would do, dont need Triumph ones.

But anyway do you have a photo of both the old relay and this new one?

Think I have figured it out. the 4 pin (T257727) replaces the 5 pin (T2506040), BUT, lacks the protection diode/resistor for the ECU. Maybe better getting a protected 5 pin from Autozone.

The cooling relay is a 4 terminal relay which can be retro by a 5 terminal relay
i have all 5 terminal relays in my bike so i can swap if need to.

You were right. It was a 4 pin. Exact copy available from Oreilly auto parts $11.49 part # 84601 Dorman 12v conduct 30 amp multi-purpose relay.

Give me a couple of days and I'll have a picture of the original (T2506040) the replacement (T2507727) and the Dorman Conduct 84602.

because that relay is controlled by the ecu i would make sure that it has the (my memory fails me)the gissmo that protects the ecu from a high volts spike.

There are several makes, but I went with the GEBE 993001 mini relay 12V 30A with an internal resistor for ECU protection ($7.49)
