Questions from a newbie without a manual

Brought one where for me to try ?
Well you said your wifey did not like the little pillion seat. So I told you I'd hunt up my 06 classic seat to try.

Giess what followed me to Norfolk Virginia:D

So for the back seat there is a tab at the rear of the seat which you pull?
The pillion (rear) seat will stay attached to the bike. There are three Allen bolts that hold it in place. I regularly remove my pillion, unless my daughter wants to come for a rip. I takes all of about 30 seconds to remove/replace

Firstly, welcome to the forum. As you may have gathered it's a fountain of help and useful knowledge.

May be a silly question but the Roadster superseded the Classic in 2010 and what little I can see in your avatar (if it's your bike) looks like a Roadster. If it is a Roadster the pillion seat bolts to the underside of the main seat. You'll know if it's only a relatively small pad. Removing the seat and looking will tell you for sure.

Happy riding.

TORS = Triumph Off Road System

Remove seat by using ignition key to unlock the seat on right side of the bike there will be a lock top of the shock height

Not too sure about twin seat I think they are interchangeable but not 100% I’m sure a more knowledgeable member will fill you in

Gday Simon, I am also very confused with the acronim "TORS", your answer was "Triumph off road system" im afraid that doesnt clear it up for me. As a fellow Australian my understanding of the term "off road" was that it was a scrambler or ATV, 4x4 or dirt bike, so I fail to see the connection to the rocket, surely no one is suggesting that the R3 is a dirt bike!!!!!
This and other uses of acronims is very annoying especially when you have to ask what they represent, as it makes the person asking the question feel like a real dick. I know its not your fault it just seems they (acronims) are being used more and more nowdays, and I ask WHY are we in such a hurry in life that we cant pronounce, write, speak properly anymore?????? OMG, LOL, ROFL:roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll:
