wote size are the k/n airfilter pods

I read the how-tos and noted that the filters don't fit properly under the bearclaw.. There are no pics of the "standoff" mentioned or details as to what mod needs to be performed..
Is the R3T the same config?? Got a Tuneboy, TORS and itching to try a new tune with pod filters!!

I've been playing with the K&N's on the R3T for a week or so. If you twist the back filter the bearclaw will fit but its a very tight fit and it does contact the filter. The rear bayonet fitting is the problem. Right now I have the rear bayonet zip tied to the mounting hole in order to clear the rear filter. That leaves a bit of a gap, only really noticeable if you're looking for it.

I've considered cutting down the bearclaw for more airflow but that won't help the clearance problem as the rear fitting will still force the top of the bearclaw to contact the rear filter.

Thanx for the heads up, it's a winter project so it wouldn't hurt if I leave the bearclaw off while doing dyno runs and the shorter winter trips we normally do!! I'll post a thread to give results with before/after with the avail tunes...
