I agree whit your opinions. I went with a small, bar mounted shield on my BMW R75/5/ It just never did the trick, so I'm trying to cover the due diligence soz I'm not making the same mistake again. I guess it'll be the 16X16. And who knows, maybe a file and hole saw!
Anyone who fits a windscreen/vest on the Rocket expecting it to work like a fully faired bike is nuts! Go buy a Goldwing... The vest works better low and tilted back. You will deflect some wind off your body and get a good blast onto the top of the helmet.... If you mount it too high and forward you get buffeted around the head at any speed over 35mph. Deflectors and airwings and all that other crap!!! Get a car!!!!

A....I wasn't expecting it to perform like a full fairing, but thanks for the psychoanalysis of those who think the vest is like a full fairing

Don't mind SteveRed....he has a problem expressing his feelings

Steve is a minimalist (as am I) who doesn't like the lines of the bike messed up with a big windshield and a lot of wings, deflectors etc.

Different strokes for different folks

Got it.

I too like a lean look. I have had three different shield on three different bikes, all on the minimal side of size. All have a little different performance. I'm trying to pull the best data from past experience and others who have recently tried products that I have not.

Thanks!

Geez and I thought I was nuts for thinking about taking a saw to my shield, maybe lopping off the top six inches or so and rounding it off.

anybody want to swap for one of those little summer screens?

I have my screen dropped down onto the lights as it is
