The Guy That Asks All The Questions
Hey, friends! When I bought my 2014 Roadster, it came with 3 windshields:
I typically ride without a shield because I mostly ride short trips and I like the breeze.
I am going to be doing a 1000 mile trip through Colorado this summer and think I should use a shield.
The brackets came on the largest windscreen so that is the only one I have ever fitted to the bike. It seems to work fine - definitely blocks the wind - which I miss in town. I'm sure it would be less fatiguing on a longer trip with the screen.
So, a couple questions, I guess.
Any advice you can give will be appreciated. I'll attach pics for reference.
- What appears to be a stock Triumph windshield (the smallest of the 3)
- A Clearview one with a a vent and slimmer cut bottom (medium of the 3)
- A 2" taller Clearview with a vent and wide at the bottom (largest of the 3)

- Should I worry that if it is 80-90 degrees out that I am going to be way hotter behind the windshield (does the vent really help)?
- Short of swapping the brackets and trying each one for short distances, can you tell me what I might expect? I'm trying to figure out the "slim" cut bottom on the medium sized one. What does not having those extra "wings" do?
