Most of the fuel in the US has ethanol in it unless you live near the coast or a large lake (marine grade) and it will go bad in a fairly short period of time...best fix is to ride often.
When adding new fuel maybe add a high octane additive as well as it may help to flush any impurities in the fuel system .it is what I have done twice and I have had positive results both times

My 2013 was doing the same thing. I didn't have it on a "tender", but if it sat more than 2 weeks, it would crank, but no run, and would quickly go to nothing at all. So, I bought a new battery. 310 cold cranking amps. http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/autocraft-12-volt-sealed-agm-premium-powersport-battery-310-cca-tx20hl/16940007-P?navigationPath=L1*14920|L2*15000 So far, so good. On my 2004 Kawasaki ZRXr, I was having the same problem, and read on a forum, that it required a full 12 volts, to make the ignition work. When the battery drops a little from setting, and you put the load of the starter on it, the voltage drops below what the ignition system requires.
