All Rocket III's are Rocket III's,
There are Classics, Touring and Roadsters
Classics are a cruiser big back tyre and higher HP.
Roadsters are similar to the classic but have foot pegs closer to the centre of the bike, ABS brakes, Usually Black and Sexier!!!!!!
Touring have thinner rear tyre generally less HP but have more fruit and extras.

If i have got someting wromg here someone will correct me!!! Please do!!

I'm assuming Mittzy that the riding position is more of an upright one, as opposed to my M90???

Sportier riding position on the Roadsters. Pegs are further back and the seat sits you up and further forward. Only Roadsters and Tourings are available new these days.

I herd the roadster mentioned as a "Street Fighter" but i dont know if that would be fitting???

only thing you got wrong Mittzy is black being sexier :D

Black is black not much else it denotes slow versions of the Rockets somewher between a standard/classic and a touring.

Now sexy well many other colors come to mind
but fast and sexy well

That about sums it up:cool:

Yeh i reckon the Roadster fits more into the Streetfighter than Cruiser style. Change around a few bits and get rid of a few others and it's a Sreetfighter alright...well in the right hands it is :D

In the beginning there were the standard and the classic tourer
The standard had forward foot pegs and came in lots a colors
Yellow, cardinal red, graphite grey , jet black they also had tribal graphics and flames as special order in various colors and had grey motors.then in 06 they had black motors
The classics had different bars and floor boards and the kickstands were different along with the gauge cluster mount
Also in 06 the color of the gauge face plate changed to all black
Then around 07 they started to get cheaper and the gauge mounts all changed, colors were dropped mulberry red no more yellow no more jet black no more graphite grey however phantom black came out and cardinal red was no more I think
Then the touring came out as a new model later to get the Harley lovers to consider what a real bike should be
They have smaller tires less horsepower and factory saddle bags like a Harley along with the gauges on the tank like a Harley
Then the roadster came out with dual exhaust and relocated pegs taking away from the original cruiser style or the original rocket and only come in the choice of phantom black or matte black

Now don't get me wrong I like them all but 08 and back they were great all 05s and older all came with chrome cam covers and came in actual colors
By 08 they had the upgrade kit done
I had a 05 that got totaled and saved the best of that bike to add to my 08 replacement gauge cluster mount and such
It will be my last one until they start making real colors again and even then I like the three pipe look so until they make it into a street fighter this will be my last on
Well unless my brother sells me his cardinal red 05
