what is this mystery connector?

I took off the infill panel that the crankcase breather hides behind earlier and spotted a 2 pin connector that wasnt plugged into anything. It has one purple and one black wire going to it and the 2 terminals in the connector are arranged in a T shape. I have put a picture of it below.

Also, further up on the engine in the same area is a brass fitting with a single wire attached to it and I was curious as to what that was for. Picture is also below.

The brass fitting is yer oil pressure switch.

I believe the connector is for the optional power outlet.

No no no - silly man.
These things are made to wheeled out of the garage on Sundays and cleaned/polished and then put away for the week.
That is the English way - least ways it is what my father did. I was a rebel, me!.

It's not England. It's northern Ireland,where you clean your bike and 10 minutes later it pisses down with rain.
