Well, I ordered some pipes for my T-Bird.

I don't normally put pipes on bikes other than Harleys as I don't normally think they sound all that great. Also, I'm not into loud pipes. Even on my Harleys I keep the pipes thing pretty tame. In fact, I had a guy follow me into a parking lot when I had my Street Bob to ask what pipes I had because he wanted to put them on his bike. He said he liked them because they had a nice throaty rumble, but they weren't offensive sitting next to them at the light.

Anyway, I decided to put some British Customs "Hog Slayers" on my T-Bird. I only have sound clips to go off of, but from that and from talking with others, it sounds like they'll be like the ones I had on my Street Bob; nice rumble, but not offensive and actually tame at idle. These pipes are around 20lbs lighter than the stock pipes, which frankly I don't care about one way or the other. The good news to me is they don't require a special tune. They use the same Triumph tune that the TORs use.

I actually liked the sound of the Faron Razorbacks and Stainintunes better, but I'm not paying $1500 for pipes (Razorbacks) and I don't like the looks of the Stainintunes much. The Hog Slayers are listed at $650, but I got a discounted price. They should arrive in a couple of weeks.

Hope they work out for you Daryl. I wonder if they make them for the R3T?

Dennis,

They don't make them for the R3T. These pipes are specific to the T-Bird. Don't quote me on it, but I don't think they make *any* pipes for the R3T.

You're probably right, I haven't checked the accessories (Triumph) catalog lately but I dont' think that the R3T has access to a TOR's like setup either as the regular R3 has. But there is still time, I've got like 10 or so months for someone to "invent" or fabricate something.

And if they don't...I can still enjoy the "stealth" aspect of the my ride.

I have a 2008 R3T with the TORs not quite as throaty as the ones for the classic but nice and not obnoxious

Your only option Dennis is to get a Roadster, I'm sorry about that....NOT!!!!:p
