I've never had a Triumph pump apart but that looks like a mechanical seal (spring loader) which usually has 2 parts. The 2 separate parts seal with pressure against each other, then against the housing/shaft and impeller. Not sure gluing them will work. Is there another seal between the bearing and seal support plate the mechanical seal was up against? There are numerous "how to" videos on replacing different water pump mechanical seals on cycles.

Here's one for a Kawasaki Z800. Forget the part about the oil pump.

Don't know why Triumph hasn't included a parts list for this!!! It is serviceable.

Below this pressed in stamping with the two little ears is the empty chamber the weep hole is drilled into. Below the chamber is the outer oil seal, below that is a bearing, then a space for grease, the other bearing, then the snap ring, then the outer oil seal.
 
If it is a small leak from the drain hole then remove the bolt, put a smear of gasket goo around the threads, and then put it back in. The leak will disapear.
 
That looks like a fairly standard pump mechanical seal with a carbon seal on a ceramic face.

The cramc piece usually sits in a rubber seat glued to the pump casing, but in this case they appear to have epoxied it. The other half has the carbon seal that runs on the ceramic face. from the carbon seal is a rubber seal that should be a tight fit over the shaft:rolleyes:. The seal carbon spins on the ceramic and uses water to prevent wear, if it runs dry it toasts the carbon and it falls apart.

These seals are cheap about $25 to $30NZD. I'd measure it and go to a local pump shop and see what they have, there are shops online that specialize in mechanical seals. We rebuild a lot of pumps at work.
