NetFramework completely uninstall and then install NetFramework 2.0.

Now they run Microsoft Update manually and install the netFramwork updates.

An update to 4.0 NetFramework not allow.

But you can only try other TuneECU and key files. Maybe a file is corrupted you.

Thanks Tom. I'll try the new key file. I have netframework 1.1, 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5 installed. Should I just have 2.0?

not necessarily, but I had also problems at the beginning. Only when I uninstalled netFramWork and had carried out a fresh installation, worked TuneECU.

You can install up to 3.5 then yes again.

Is there any advantage to tuneECU over Tuneboy? or are they basically the same thing? Sorry to change the subject.

Cost.

TuneEdit/TuneBoy can be a bit faster/easier to use when tuning and a bit more stable, but TuneECU is catching up quickly and fixing a few bugs.

Thanks everyone for the pointers, but I am going to throw in the towel. I have tried every sort of combination and no luck. I assume that there is not a way to set the com port # for TuneEcu?
