First performance mod... :)
Just purchased new in the box TOR silencers from a fellow member and have a couple questions.
Only performance changes I'll likely make are the silencers and eventually the cross over pipe. I like the look of the stock exhaust manifold so will likely never change that and no plans to change the air intake.

Anyway, when I called the dealer to get the TORs tune, I basically got a you won't like it speech. They said it would run lean and probably be a little rough, and I should expect pretty bad decel popping along with extra heat. I say B.S. there's gotta be a better way.

I have a 2013 roadster - blacked out with red stripes. I'm thinking I'll let them download the tune, then I'll add a custom map with TuneECU along PCV with autotune. Then if anything goes wrong, I can put it back to stock (tor tune) for warranty.

Done a lot of reading and still not sure about tune ECU working with my bike since it's a 13.

Any recommendations? Suggestions?
Thanks,
Gary

Thanks Tripp.

Can't open zip file at work, but will take a look as soon as I get home.
I'm assuming this is a map that will work for my bike with tor slip-ons.

Any benefit to using PCV +autotune at this time, or should I wait till the cross over pipe is changed out?

Power Tripp,
Looks like my assumption was correct. It was a MAP - Thank You :)
Ordered my cable and spent a little quality time reading up on TuneECU.

This sounds like total rubbish. The tor tune should be richer than the stock tune. The only difference between the new so called unrestricted tunes and the old restricted ones is that the secondaries are open 100% nearly all the time in the new ones and closed in the old ones. If you look on the TuneECU site, it gives the R3R vins for the changeover to unrestricted. Ask your dealer to load the latest R3R unrestricted tune for TORs. Then buy the TuneECU cable from Amazon, install it and read the tune. There shouldn't be any issues with 2013 models. Then compare it with the newest tune for R3R with tor you can get off the Tuneecu site which IS definitely unrestricted. Before you get a PCV make sure you open the secondaries 100% in every cell in the tune you put in the ECU.

You might try comparing both maps to see that there is very little difference between the stock map and the TORS map - especially at part throttle.

Guess we'll know for sure in about a week. :)
I'll (hopefully) be loading a map using tuneecu as soon as my cable arrives.

Of course I'm open to any further suggestions.
