So finally last night i got my Dave Platt short exhaust installed and i was able to load the dealer 20688 (TOR map). Fired it up for a couple seconds (11pm, neighbors not happy) and didnt notice any issues. Comparing the stock 20685 map and the TOR 20688 map, there doesnt look like much a difference. Sooo, if it doesnt storm this evening i was gonna load the R3R_Slip map from Power-Tripp and give it a go. Since the tune was developed for up to VIN # 574812 and my VIN is 574813+, do i only need to open the secondaries to 100% in all gears/rpm?

Thanks in advance

2013R3R Matte Black/White stripes, 3x RU 2780, aftermarket exhaust

The 20688 tune has the secondaries open in gears 1-3 and mostly in 4-5. You could open them in the remaining upper right cells. I believe Tripp's tune has them mostly open too.

However, you have the triple K&N's so none of these tunes is optimal.

Mully, Im at work so i cant get to the emails or pictures Dave sent me. Here is a link though where they are being sold (cheaper straight from Dave).

Rocket III Roadster Performance Exhaust System ( made by Shorty) - $1,199.00 : Triumph Performance USA

Im still a young Padawan when it comes to R3 performance but, why would the R3R_slip not be optimal with the triple K&N's? I think it included the 3x ru-2780 in the TuneEcu description.
In all honesty though, im sure it will be better than the TOR tune i havent run yet, lol.
When i get home ill try to get some pictures up.

Ran the TOR tune and it seems a little better if that (some backfiring). So i came back home and tried to load the R3R_Slip tune. After download was done, i disconnected and tried to turn the bike on, no joy. The engine light was blinking and no gauge sweep or noise from throttle bodies. Gonna re-install TOR tune for now and figure out another option.

And the plot thickens... :(

Thanks for the update.

Sorry it took me a lil bit to get back to this. Havent had a chance to get on the bike for a week. Soooo. quick recap.
- TOR tune 20688 (from VIN # 574813) loaded with TuneEcu - Lil backfiring
- R3R_slip tune loaded with TuneEcu - Bike rejected, wont start, engine light blinking, nada.
- Reloaded TOR 20688 - Bike fired right up, ECU not locked.
Message Hanso and Tripp (thanks!! for the assistance) and got a working solution.
I copied 20688 in my TuneEcu directory and renamed the copy "20688_to_R3R_Slip". In TuneEcu i opened 20688_to_R3R_Slip tune and compared it to R3R_Slip tune. Copied alllllll tables from the R3R_Slip tune into 20688_to_R3R_Slip and saved it. Compared the new tune back to the R3R_Slip tune to make sure i didnt miss something and loaded it to the bike+reset adaptation/TPS.
Bike started right up and no observed issues. I have not had a chance to take it out on a 150-200mile ride yet but i did hammer down the throttle on a few back roads and didnt notice any issues or decel popping. Maybe sometime in the next few weeks i will have a chance to dyno it, but need to research the options around here to find someone who is familiar with the R3.

I've got 2013 R3R with TORs. Dealer installed when new. TuneECU is reading tune 20355. VIN# 564043. Is this the right tune ? I have tried to make a few changes, fan on temp - max speed, but I'm not getting a green TPS light. Any help appreciated.

Mornin Idaho,
According to TuneECU website the 20355 map is the correct tune for your VIN number. 20355 with TORS, VINs up to 574812. One time i couldnt get a green TPS, i had to update my TuneECU software to the latest version. I think latest version is 2.5.5.

Hi Muddbhut, I thought of that too. Tried it. Nothing different. No green TPS light. What about drivers ? Do I need a different driver for Roadster ?
