Thanks all for the input. I just met with the fella selling them and he was kind enough to let me have them for $250. They look new, not a mark on them anywhere. A little reinforcement and they will be good to go. Right time, right place and I'm a very happy guy.

Good job, you will love them.. Enjoy!:)

You said Semi Hard!!

OMG, I thought about that after I posted it. Yep you know soft in the middle, should have known someone would call my hand on that one. I am going to mash up a Viagra and mix with some Lexol and see if I can't remedy the problem!:D

Mine the lids are sagging quite a bit so much the velcro wont match up unless you really get rough with it stitching coming apart also gets in the way when you need to change brake pads/ wash it so on think i would rather have hard bags

Ditto. The stitching on my bags have come apart and it's difficult to connect the Velcro. I'm honking about the LeatherLyke bags.

$250! Absolute bargain. Well done.

I would add that mine have had a pretty hard time over 3 years but still in pretty good shape (have some pics in my gallery with them on I think). Best part is they've turned a soft fall into a very gentle landing a couple of times. Like everything, they will show their age over time but with TLC they can be kept looking good and working well for ages.

Very cool. Remember Flipmeister sells the reinforcement kit and will fully repair / refurbish these if or when needed.

Acknowledged, I have already visited his web site to take a look, looks like a good deal. I do believe a little reinforcement will help them out over the long run, now that I have had the opportunity to take a close look at them. One thing I might do before I mount them is take them to a local tac shop to have the seams reinforced based on a few of the comments about the stitching. For what I paid I can do a little preventative medicine on them before I put them to use.
