Triumph Off Road Pipes vs Others

On a 2012 Roadster, how much power increase over stock will the Triumph "off road" slip-ons and down load get you vs other aftermarket pipes, PC and K & Ns?

I'm not sure there's a simple answer to that. TORS have a larger internal diameter than stock pipes but probably smaller than a lot of other aftermarket. When tuned right, TORS will give you a good power and strong torque increase over standard. By opening up the pipes further with, say Staintunes, and will all other things being equal, you can get more power but sometimes at the expense of torque - relatively speaking. By that I mean you might still get an increase in torque but not proportional to the power increase. I'm generalising of course. The real trick is have the right tune for the pipes and unless you're doing a lot extra to the intake, TORS will probably give you as good a result as any.

Now someone that actually knows what they're talking about is free to correct me. ;)

I have the Stain Tune cross over and mufflers, added the tune ECU tune 20355, there is no doubt abut the benefit, plus a better sound that got even better as then mufflers seem to burn in.

I am not a power rider but the improved torque suits me fine, the fuel usage is slightly less.

The bike is stock. Hope this helps.

Thats good info thanks. I am just about ready to go get a 2012 and just wanted to make sure the TORs are ok. They are priced right, sounds like they make good power and come with the down load. Put them on from the dealer and be done with it and just go ride. I do not really want to mess around with tuning or anything else.

"i'm not a power rider"!!!! come on moto, you ride a rocket! lol

on the topic though, I'm not sure you can just bolt on tors without the correct tune. the reason most on this site may find it difficult to answer this thread question is, I'm not sure anyone has just done pipes. most will do that plus tune and filters.

i can say that, filters, tors, tune and secondaries gave me a real adjusted 142 rear wheel hp that = most peoples 150 hp. (ah ****, I've done it, I've opened the hp can of worms...before you reply to this 142=150 did i mention, get f----- and i don't really give a f--- about what you are going to say!)

back to my point... i think most people off the shelf are running a real 125-130 rwhp so the tors with tune, filters and butterflies should give you about 10%.

Definitely a lovely dealer tweak. i had my new bike delivered with the tors and tune. was really nice. not a huge noticeable power increase but the nicer sound was an addictive start to customisation.

lol...hearing someone say they are getting a new rocket and 'just this tweak and be done with it......reminds me of my first girlfriend who asked if she could just see it and thats all.......she was a great f---!
