Jeff,
I've found that making the motor fit your body is key to a comfy ride.
Over the years I have fussed greatly with my handlebar shape and position, my foot position, and my seat shape.
Takes effort and some expense, but well worth it.

Now I have to go through it all again with your wife's R3R.
