The Thunderbird has landed

Made it home today safe and sound. Went and picked up my new T-bird and all I can say is ..... oh yeeeeaaaaahhhhhh!!!

It was worth the wait.

Daryl, so far I am liking the sound of the OEM pipes, they have a good sound to them...but I am still going to try and come out on Saturday morning after my breakfast at the Golden Corral (with my old Gold Wing group) and then I'll give it a sustained highway test.

Dennis thanks for the phone call this morning it was nice to hear from you, but the main thing is my Ace Cafe shirt is in the good old USA.
Dennis or Daryl once you work out the time you are going to meet on Saturday give me a shout and I will head on up to sunny Crestview, if you want Dennis we can ride out to the highest point in Florida I promise to ride slow enough for you T-Bird guys.

Dave and Daryl, I take it that Poker Run is going to last awhile on Satruday so I may just make the trip up next Saturday, I've got lots to do to say the least in the short time that I am over here. But I will try and free up a good amount of time next week for that. Or I may try and ride over to Crestview late afternoon and maybe have dinner at the big "H" (Hooters) off of I-10.

Pigger, today I go in and start on the truck buying "experience"...if everything goes right I may have the one I want by Friday afternoon...it may be coming in from Panama City.

I ran it up (the 'bird) pretty good thru a bunch of different speed ranges on the way home yesterday and it responded much better than I had a reason to hope for. It's a shame the Rocket can't have the growl this thing has. I need to try out the horn to see if it is as wimpy as the Rocket's was.

Again, it's great to be home...even if it is for only another 11 days...just will have to adjust life accordingly to fit everything in that I need to accomplish in the short time available.

Congratulations, that's what it's all about man. Enjoy your time home... I am heading that way in 14 days and trying to close on a small farm. Its a rough way to make a living, lots of sacrifices, but it has it's rewards. Wooohooo.
