Temp LED Indicator

Has anyone experienced the red dummy light in stop-go traffic (with the digital indicator pointing an arrow at the thermometer symbol)? Radiator sounds like its working, plenty of coolant, and the light goes off as soon as the bike has significant movement. Searched the threads and did not find any similar documentation...maybe I have some coolant blockage somewhere? Stock R3 Classic 07. Thanks for any advice...

Most likely a problem with the cooling fan or the power relay. I've seen such a problem on a '06 before, fresh out of the crate. Next time it comes on, make sure the cooling fan is operating properly. Bigern

If you have Tuneboy run the diagnostics on it and see if the fan is working. Also if you have a OBDII code reader or Scanguage see what the coolant temp sensor reading.
