Taking delivery of a new Roadster

"D" day this Friday, if all goes well I will join the ranks of a Roadster owner. It's been over 6 months in the making getting the money together.

****hot !!! .. Waited 6 months , man that must have been like 6 years. Or am i just an impatient ... yeh i am  !!!!!!

Well it all happened today. After getting lift the bike shop and settling the money part and getting a very professional run through about the bike I got away.
Only got 10km up the road and hit some heavy rain, stopped put on my wet weather gear, lucky I took it. Decided to go for little ride before going home. Had great time just like the comments.
Next job is to set all the controls they way I want and boy this going to be a joy to ride.
My Harley mates recon I was crazy but they will never know.

Your HD friends will never know, UNLESS, you let them ride your Rocket. Enjoy your new ride. Just turning first 1,000 miles and I have "bonded"

You're guna have a ball with your Harley ridin mates. Me and my mates that ride Rockets L O V E going for rides with our mates still riding Harleys. Get out on the open road, settle into the usual 120k..... then nail it and dissapear :D Donny's got his Rocket tweaked and can stand it up while the back tyre is howling. Give it a week to get used to it ( took me a week jumping of an 07 Dyna) and you're guna love your Rocket.

Glad you're getting seat time. Now you'll be looking for excuses to leave work early, run across town, do errands and generally pile up miles. In other words, you're now us.:D

Adjusted all the controls tonight ready for another run over the long weekend. It felt like the tyre pressure was a bit high, checked the front it is 38, have not checked the rear yet.

I have always run my tyre pressure high 38 Front 45 rear ( Metzlers) and always get at least 10,000 k's out of a rear tyre. Sure you've read on here the importance of correct tyre pressure, let'em get low and you'll feel it. Enjoy the long weekend mate, if you pass 200+ bikes accompanied by a ****load of angry looking coppers ... wave :p
