I would check to make sure the shift linkage stays put. Both of mine got loose until they put a thread locker on it. Just ride it !!!! Hard!!!! A better upper torso workout that way.

I have always run my tyre pressure high 38 Front 45 rear ( Metzlers) and always get at least 10,000 k's out of a rear tyre. Sure you've read on here the importance of correct tyre pressure, let'em get low and you'll feel it. Enjoy the long weekend mate, if you pass 200+ bikes accompanied by a ****load of angry looking coppers ... wave

May be that is why the bike shop put the higher pressure in.
