Slight drip after the oil change

I see I have a very slight oil drip from the left side rear sump plug after changing the oil, I have a new washer but will much oil come out from that plug if I have not drained the oil tank. I know not much comes out after I have drained the oil tank.
My plan was to run the motor for a few minutes then remove the plug to change the washer.

Try tightening the bolt a bit more.

Which left side plug the one up front is longer and has a Oring on it it is the one to the tank. The rear left and front right are to the sump screens. Unless yours is a 04 or real early 05

It’s the left rear which I thought had a sealing washer. Have tried to tighten a little more

Guys use a torque wrench do not be like a bull in a china shop, if still leaking after correct torque then change the washer.

Look in your drain pan and see if you dropped the washer. Don't ask me how I know

will there be much oil from that drain plug?

Make sure your drain pan is really clean and dump the oil back in.

Right, 450mils come out in the time it took me unscrew the bung, wipe all the surfaces, fit the new washer and screw the bung back in, tighten to the correct specs.

As fingers said used a very clean pan and put the 450 mils of 300V back in, job done thanks. Now warm up and recheck.

 

[Triple Trouble]

If you run the engine for a minute or two that will ensure that the scavenge side of the oil pump will return the oil to the tank minimizing the amount of oil in the sump. Might help to tilt the bike.
