Single K&N air filter

I'm looking into making a custom air box and need someone that actually knows what their talking about( so that rules me out) if they could advise me on what is the smallest K&N filter with a 3" flange size I could use would something like K&N RX-2820 be any good for example.Thanks

Remember though, the smaller the air filter, the less air it will take in, causing engine to run "rich" - Putting it inside of an air box will restrict flow even further

I’m looking at having it at the front of bearclaw in fresh air facing forward clamped to a 3 inch tube going into the stock plenum , if everything goes plan and fits that is .

It would need to be able to flow at least 230 CFM.

I haven't been able to find the CFM on the website, but if you are considering a couple, and email them they will give you the numbers.
