Should I just do it my self

Cane - if you haven't wired your GPS yet look at Powerlet products. They have a kit for your GPS with the small plug on it that fits the Triumph outlet.

yes, look at the link in my previous post. you'll see the adapter you need or you can buy the hardwire harness already to install...about as easy as it gets...

Yes I know I can get a adaptor that would fit my plug but that is for my heated vest, I wanted to hard wire it so I won't be limited.
I'm waitting for some one to come over and have a few beers that could do it:D

you can use this to hard wire to battary 9assuming you have a bar mount. The cord will plug in in place of the one that came with GPS. Not sure how you would protect plug when GPS is not mounted.

Garmin Nuvi 660 Battery Harness - Powerlet Products

Or use this and have a second socket on front of bike.

Powerlet Socket Kit - 48" Harness - Powerlet Products

You would place the socket on the plastic frame covers. Just plug your exisitng wireing into it when needed.

I ran this set up with my Nuvi.

Powerbar Plus 7/8" To 1" Black Anodized - Powerlet Products for power

and

Garmin Nuvi 6xx PowerMount Techmount (Black) - Powerlet Products for actually mounting Nuvi. Provided a quick release to take unit with me when off bike.

I now have a Zumo which mounts differently but still the power outlet.
