Shifter for Classic

IMHO -
All that linkage crap just seems redundant to me!
Tis much cleaner and efficient without it.
Ya the way he did it was nice more room everywhere on the floor board because the heel section does not have as much offset as the front. Me I have so many miles on the heal toe shifter I am lost without it :D

FYI - This is a shift lever for a Storm that I have just installed on my Roadster with Standard rails and boards.

Mr Bull,

Would you be so good as to post the length of the Storm shifter from center of shaft to center of toe pad?
Inches or millimeters is fine.

I've tried several aftermarket shifters and they are all shorter from the shaft to toe than the stock standard.
The pic looks like the Storm shifter is as long or longer than stock but I'd like to know for sure.

Thanks for the pic and part numbers.

Four and three eighths inches.
The toe pin fits perfectly at the base of my big toe and allows use of the entire board area for my foot.

I ordered it. I had the same shifter on my T-Bird, just didn't occur to me it would fit on the R3. I put the longer Kury longhorn peg on the T-Bird and will try that when the new one comes. Thx.

I rode over to my local Triumph dealer and measured up my Roadster and found a compatible Storm model.
The parts guy was nice enough to look it up and provide me with the part numbers.

Well, here's my T-Bird shifter with Kuryakyn Longhorn ISO shifter peg. Thanks! (it better fit).

Honda crf 100 shifter, about $20.

Not as handsome, but WAY cheaper and it appears to be slightly longer, which IDK if better or no. Thanks for posting!
PS: How's the trip going?

Yea I agree on the handsome part, just didn't have a Triumph dealer in my old home town. Trip went good, Thanks. Probably the last long ride of the year for me....Winter, Yuck!
