Shark Evoline Helmets???

My quick comparison between the 2:

Roof Boxer V (ROOF Boxer V8 - webBikeWorld)

Pros:
Looks great
Very comfortable
Seatbelt-style strap clip (Can use with gloves on)
Can be worn open

Cons:
Poor ventilation when closed (Apparantly imnproved on V8)
LOUD at speed
Strange chin bar latch clips that jam frequently (Apparantly imnproved on V8)
Visor nib to open is sharp as a knife and breaks easily

Shark Evoline 2 (Shark Evoline Series 2 - webBikeworld)

Pros:
Easy flip to open (Thumb button)
Internal sun visor
Aerodynamic - MUCH quieter on highway
Mine glows in the dark :D (E-Tec Lumi)
(ST) Designed to fit Shark's bluetooth system

Cons:
Doesn't look nearly as cool as the ROOF
Fits different open than closed
Poor ventilation when closed (Though better than the Roof)

I used to have the Roof for city and a Shoei TZ-R for highway and the Evoline has replaced both. Best helmet I've had hands down. Check out the reviews I linked to for more details on both.

Both would be online ordering only. I got my Roof from Riders Offshore but it doesn't look like they carry them any more and the Shark is from Revzilla.

I just picked up an Evoline 3. So far I love it. It is comfortable and easy to use. In town a quick one handed flip and it becomes way cooler and the sun shield works slick too. It's a bit snug on my fat cheeks but I figure it will wear in soon enough. It's been really hot here lately and very humid and this is the answer to having highway protection and beating the heat. It gets a 4 star rating on the U.K. goverment's SHARP system according to the label. Yamaha Canada are the Canadian distributors and a large local dealer had plenty in stock.

Thanks for your input! What type of helmet did you have before your evoline? Also. How does it fit in comparison to the previous helmet?

I had a shoei X9 which was a good helmet, then a Nolan 3/4 but I liked the idea of the modular helmet and the Evoline 3 got good reviews. In Canada all Yamaha dealers carry them. They just got stock in at the end of June.

I don't care for a full faced helmet, but love them in the winter. I chose a Bell Revolver, which is a modular helmet, very comfortable and was only $99.00. I know what everyone will say about the cheapness in my soul, but has everyone seen the head I'm protecting?
Kid
