Good info. 2 things:
1) Avon, not Bridgestone or Michelin or Dunlop - wonder if they are different?
2) "V" = 149 - "(V)" = greater than 149
Perhaps tis all about the parenthesis?!? :D
I didn't check much further then that. Still at speeds above 150 I go with the manufacturer of the tire. We won't get into getting tires cut for the mile either. I'll have to look into it.

Ok who am I to argue especially with the manufacturer not a parts warhouse.

Like I said two different V ratings one to max <149 and the other to greater >149. Mind you this is just Avon not Rocky Mountain ATV
Anyway just pointing out one should check with the actual manufacturer who tested the particular tire.

FYI - Michelin agrees . . .

Back to the OP Kevin's original dilemma . . .

So far it looks to me like his only option is to:
1) Get a 17" rear wheel that fits a 200/60R tire.
2) Buy a Pirelli Diablo (Rosso Corsa 2 or Supercorsa SP V3) Both are "W" speed rated.
3) Run the Michelin Road 5 150/70ZR17 (69W) reverse on the front.
Now you are all "W" speed rated for greater than 168 mph.

Not to put too fine a point on it or anything, but I'd think they might not accept running a tire backwards at 150+ mph, if only because it's never been tested/ certified.

Carry on ....

They did at Maxton when it was open but thats east coast timing association. You definetly want the rules to the course your going to run. Longest asphault in the USA is Lorin Maine. They have the 1
5 mile thats where Bill Warner died trying to break 300 in 1 mile. The Ohio mile also has a 200mph naked club. You bike helmet and leather no stream lining. But once your on the list you're always on it. Remember things can happen. Bill was at the texas mile when he accidentally pulled a wheelie at 255 mph set the ftont end down and the bike came out from under him at 235 mph. Right where the course changed material. Took him a while to heal up so he could go to maine and properly kill himself !!!!!
Yes think about it !!!!!!!!

Safety tie oil drain plugs, fork pinch bolts whole lot of stuff I am scratching head at, Jeremy the guy that has done my dyno pulls has world records at Ohio and Arkansas I’m gonna have to talk to him but the rocket is probably gonna be only able to drag 1/8 and 1/4

Unfortunately I have two problems. One is that I don't have a "get out of jail free" card, and the other is that my Curry Burner won't reach those speeds. :D

However, my old RIII did see that speed - in Alabama - on a dyno. :)

None of us have a get out of jail free card. I must admit I did my testing out in the country where you would run into a coyote before the man. Were talking miles from the nearest doughnut shop :D
