Rockets Across America VI

Steve F., RAA has always been a somewhat informal gathering only promoted on this board and sometimes on the other R3 owner site. Plus, since there are a fairly small number of Rockets on the streets, the numbers that do show up are remarkable. Imagine if only 10% of all the Goldwings on the road showed up at Aspencade.

The largest gathering so far was RAA IV 2 years ago with 27 Rockets, if memory serves. So, yes, this is looking to be the largest event to date.

Looks to me that is going to be a large number of other brands too

All that really matters is that we are all getting together, after talking on the sites, to really see if the face matches the person you thought was on the other side of the keyboard. Last year was my first RAA and I will say that no one looked like I thought, but what a great time we all had. You will hear more BS then you can imagine. I am looking forward to the great morning ride, hearing the sweet sounds of a serinade by Booger, the expert MCing by Steve, who brought what to share, and then we wake up and start again. And as to the Dragon, Nice, but there are better runs around.To many hotshots trying to ripe up the road when a trackor trailer is going the other way. Thats why they have the Tree of Shame.

Steve I know this is a little early but what say next year Branson.?

I was just looking at the tree of shame,, i hope i dont have to leave part of my bike there,

BTW,we got 4" of snow and Tulsa is paralized, no work today for me so i have all the time in the world to bring my post count up;

And of course im gonna be easy to spot, im going to be the best looking Mexican there.

I make the rocket look gooood!

Sound

What really gets me everytime I'm near my Rocket is the sound it makes, But when your with a group of Rockets the sound is amazing. Some loud, some stock. But they all make that sound that is just Rockets in motion. Then you get the other bikes going thump thump, thump thump. It's all music

This will be something to see, im looking to buy a helmet cam to record the good stuff, and the bad one too, i found some that are extreme small for around $250_300, they record full hd and are just 2x3.5" that is amazing to me, they record high quality audio so the rumble will sound good too

It sounds like more utube stuff will have to make sure you're not wearing your helmet cam after-hours Mexican

I just found out the thunder in the smokies bike rally that was scheduled for the weekend of the 29th has just been moved to the weekend of the 13th .... the rally will be directly across the street from motel.

This will cause several challenges

1) the area will be very busy because of the rally (Lots Of traffic)

2) Any additional Room reservations above the ones already blocked will be at premium Rate. (We have 2 rooms Left in the block across the street)

3) restaurants and Businesses will be very busy.

The question to the group is do we stay with the dates we have scheduled or attempt to move the event to another weekend. This will have to be a unanimous decision.

You will be the only one wearing a helmet the entire time....Ime sure the rest of us will take them off when were not riding
